(Completed project, 2016-2018)

The small town of Sangwali in the south of the former Caprivi strip (present-day Zambezi region) became famous in the middle of the 19th century through the missionary and African researcher Dr. David Livingstone. His friendship with the great king of Makololo, Sebitwane, is contained in one of Konny’s historical travel books (“Sangwali – David Livingstone am Linyanti”). Today Sangwali is a place where the Mayeyi people still live very traditionally. To help improve their living conditions, Konny financed several greenhouses to protect the precious vegetables from wild animals such as hippos and jackals.
